rare

ok so this is going to sound terrible, but sometimes i seriously forget my dad lives here. like i'm not even joking.

you see, now that i'm a teen, i like my alone time...but apparently so do my parents!

let me tell you how a typical day works for me:
*7:00 - mom walks in my room to tell me to wake up
*7:20 - i actually get out of bed
*7:45 - i've finished getting ready
*8:10 - i'm done with breakfast & am having my coffee
*8:15 - we leave the house
*8:27ish - i get to school
*8:45 - bell rings for 1st period to start
*10:15 - 1st period ends
*10:22 - 2nd period starts
*12:00 - 2nd period ends
(if it's a B day, then i go straight to lunch)
*12:07 - 3rd period starts
(if it's an A day, then at 12:35 i go to lunch)
*2:18 - 3rd period ends
*2:25 - 4th period starts
*3:55 - day ends/go to bus
*4:20 - get home

then from here i walk in, drop my stuff off on the island counter, find my dad, say hi, kiss him on the cheek, find something to eat, grab my phone, go upstairs, pop my head in my mom's room, say hi, and stay in my room (with the door shut) for the rest of the day. i only come out to 1) get dinner. 2) use the restroom. 3) shower. and/or 4) say goodnight to my parents.

now what you didn't know is that while i'm locked in my room, my mom is also in hers watching her brazilian novelas & my dad is either doing something in the study or in the media room (down the hall from my room & right across from the master bedroom) watching tv too.

but you see, from time to time my mom will pop her head in my room to see what's up, then leaves me alone again. but my dad & i like barely even speak.

well sometimes we have a rare moment where i'm craving some daddy love...so what do i do? most of the time i'll just go into the media room and watch the discovery or history channel with him and we kinda talk then.

it kinda saddens me that my dad & i barely interact. i see how inseparateable alley & her dad are and can't help but wish i had that with my own father. especially since in 2 years i'll be leaving texas & my parents behind for 4+ years.

oh well.

Maybe you could ask him on a date, like a daddy daughter date.

And, on a side note, your school starts and ends REALLY late!
