lots going on

so i have myself a prom date & my prom dress!
now i have a month to just get shoes & jewelry,
which is the easy part.
well finding my shoes may not be so easy since i want flats...but we'll see how that goes.

also i dyed my hair!
i'm now a redhead!
feels good too (:

my birthday is this friday!
i'm pretty darn excited.
having a little get together with the girls on saturday.
should be fun (:

i'm also going to start sweet talking my dad into letting me get my tattoo D:
i mean i just sweet talked him into spending nearly $300 on a dress i'll be wearing once, i think i can get him to let me do it.
but keep your fingers crossed for me!

and finally i've been with the boy still.
our relationship is a work in progress,
but it gets better each day.
we have our good & bad days...but let's see how it goes.
he is bummed that he can't take me to prom,
& was upset when he asked what i got for vday and i told him my prom date (who is my best guy friend btw) got me flowers.
oh well. he needs to trust me.

but that's all!

it's v-day baby

& me and the boy got back together just in time for it

(even though he's still on probation)

we have a nice little skype date set up

Cirque du Soleil - OVO

it was fun!

it was a brazilian theme (hence the name)

the director was brazilian

so all the music was traditional brazilian

and when they had to actually speak, it was in portuguese

the songs were also in portuguese

plus i was with my parents & good friends of the family

all in all,

a very fun night

snowpocalypse

on monday night, it was raining hard.

which later turned into a hard ice shower.

and then topped off with a light dusting of snow.

BUT

it left 2-3 inches of ice on the roads.

& i haven't been to school since monday.

it's crazy that FISD has cancelled 3 days of school!

they never even cancel 1, usually just delay it.

like the past 2 days it was necessary for the cancellation, but not today.

oh and it may be cancelled tomorrow too because it's gonna start snowing tonight and through tomorrow.

normally i'd like all of this but i haven't been able to leave the house.

& for the past 2 days my parents have been home too.

ughhh

at least they left today.

rebel

i've never rebelled against my parents.

because in all honesty, i've never had to.

if i wanted to do something, all i had to do was ask.

i never had a curfew.

& i never had to sneak out.

when i was told no, i was given a reason.

a logical & simple reason.

& yet now,

when i'm only 24 days away from being 18,

i get a straight up no.

what's the logical reason, you may ask?

"because i said so."

can you believe this?

that's an answer you give to a 5 year old.

this is my body.

this is my life.

this is my decision.

& i'm going to do it.

sorry.

it doesn't affect you in any way, shape, or form.

so it's going to happen.

and this isn't brazil,

where i have to ask permission to do something once i'm my own woman.

i'm not going to live with you through college,

or after while i'm working my first real job,

or while i'm engaged,

up until i'm married.

you raised me in the US,

where once you're 18 you can do what you please legally,

where once i graduate i'm out of the house,

& once i'm out of the house you don't control me just because you pay my tuition.

that's called being a good parent.

get ready to be disappointed.
